The below demo and blog post will provide a high level of the new activities in Visual Studio 2013 Team Build Toolbox.

We now have a number of new activities to choose from, throughout this post we will explore the many lists of these new activities.

To start, let’s look at the top of the Toolbox where the list of new activities in SharePoint is located.

Team Build New Groups
  Framework Class Namespace description
SP- Current Context Gets the context of the current HTTP request in Microsoft SharePoint Foundation.
SP-List Represents a list on a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web site.
SP-Task Usage definition for Tasks.
SP-User Represents a user in Microsoft SharePoint Foundation
SP-Utilities Provides a subset of types and members in the Microsoft.SharePoint.Utilities namespace for encoding strings, for working with security principals, and for performing specific utilities tasks.

 

The next two new groups we have are the Dictionary and Dynamic Value.  I know these two groups will come in handy!

As you can see there are some exciting new actives in the new TFS 2013 Team Build Toolbox.  We now have Git and Run activities that will be very helpful. In later posts, we will be diving deeper into the new activities as well as take them for a test spin.
