In a recent post I talked about the new integration of Git with TFS as it was introduced in TFS 2012. With TFS 2013, the integration is tighter and even better. Xcode developers can continue to work as they did before, exploiting the immense power of Git as a Distributed Version Control System (DVCS), but they also now have complete access to the excellent ALM tools provided by Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server. With the new Git – TFS integration for on-premise TFS servers as well as the cloud-based Team Foundation Service, Xcode developers are able to push their code to a TFS server that hosts a Git-based team project and tracks their work using the agile tools provided by TFS. The ability to track and report on work within an agile team is a huge benefit to organizations developing software across multiple platforms.
